We understand your concern for your cousin DW and we will join you in prayer, trusting in the power of Jesus' name.
Let us remember what is written in 1 John 4:18, "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love." We pray that DW will come to know the perfect love of God, which will drive out all fear and anxiety from his heart.
We also recall the words of 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We pray that DW will be filled with this spirit, that he may overcome his worries and find peace in the Lord.
In regards to DW's behavior, we are reminded of Ephesians 4:32, "Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." We pray that DW will open his heart to God's kindness and grace, that it may soften his own heart and make him more compassionate towards others.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our cousin DW. We ask that you fill him with your perfect love, driving out all his fears and worries. Help him to find grace, comfort, and kindness in you. Soften his heart, Lord, that he may be kind and tender-hearted to others, just as you are to us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Continue to trust in the power of prayer, Jere. Keep encouraging DW and reminding him of God's love. We are here with you, believing that God is at work in DW's life.
