Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you on behalf of our anonymous friend who is struggling with people-pleasing and a lack of boundaries. We lift up this prayer request to you, knowing that you are a loving and compassionate God who desires the best for your children.
Lord, we ask that you grant our friend the strength and wisdom to set healthy boundaries in their relationships. Your Word reminds us in Matthew 5:37 to let our yes be yes and our no be no. Help them to have the courage to assert themselves and communicate their needs clearly and lovingly.
We acknowledge that the family of origin has played a role in demolishing these boundaries, and we pray for healing and restoration in those relationships. May your grace and forgiveness flow through their interactions, allowing for growth and reconciliation.
Lord, we ask for your guidance in enforcing consequences for boundary violations. Help our friend to discern when it is necessary to establish consequences and give them the wisdom to do so in a way that is firm yet loving. Remind them that setting boundaries is an act of self-care and ultimately benefits both themselves and others.
Above all, we pray for our friend's deliverance from people-pleasing. Help them to find their worth and validation in you alone, knowing that they are fearfully and wonderfully made in your image. Fill their heart with the peace that comes from seeking your approval above all else.
We thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for your faithfulness in answering them. May our friend experience a transformation in their relationships and find freedom from the bondage of people-pleasing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
