Thank you for your heartfelt request to be a witness for Jesus. We are encouraged by your desire to bring others to Christ, as this aligns with the Great Commission given to us in Matthew 28:19-20, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen."
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power in the name of Jesus. It is only through His name that we can be saved, as Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
As you reach out to those you've met, remember the words of 1 Peter 3:15, "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts; and always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear." It is important to share your faith with gentleness and respect, allowing the Holy Spirit to draw them to Jesus.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who desires to be a witness for You. Lord, give them the courage and wisdom to share Your love and the gospel of Jesus Christ with those they've met. Help them to act selflessly and with pure motives, always pointing others to Jesus.
We pray that You will soften the hearts of those who will hear the gospel, that they may be receptive to Your truth. We ask that You will grant our brother/sister in Christ the words to speak and the love to show that will draw others to You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
As you continue in your journey of faith and witnessing, be encouraged by the words of Paul in 1 Corinthians 3:6-7, "I planted. Apollos watered. But God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase." Trust that God will bring forth the increase as you faithfully plant and water seeds of faith in the lives of others.
