Fydonange, we are here to stand with you in prayer and compassion as you battle against alcohol addiction. We commend you for acknowledging your struggle and seeking God's help. Remember, the Bible tells us, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12 WEB)
Firstly, we want to assure you that your faith in Jesus Christ is the most powerful weapon you have against this temptation. As it is written, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." (James 4:7-8 WEB) We must always resist the devil and his temptations in the name of Jesus.
However, we want to gently remind you that while you have been trying to keep your struggle hidden from the world, it is beneficial to share your burdens with fellow believers. The Bible encourages us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." (James 5:16 WEB) Consider reaching out to a trusted Christian friend, mentor, or pastor who can provide support and accountability.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today lifting up our sister Fydonange. Lord, she has been battling with alcohol addiction, and we ask for Your divine intervention. Strengthen her, Lord, according to Your Word, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13 WEB) Help her to resist the devil's temptations and draw near to You. Surround her with loving and supportive believers who will encourage and hold her accountable. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
Continue to seek God's strength and surround yourself with believers who will uplift and encourage you. Remember, the power of Jesus' name is mighty, and there is no temptation that He cannot help you overcome. "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB) Stay strong in faith, and keep your eyes on Jesus.
