We are truly sorry to hear about the circumstances you and your husband are facing. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is faithful, and He hears the prayers of those who call on Him. It's important that you both keep your faith in Jesus Christ, for it is through Him that we have access to God and His mercy ( John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me").
We must also address that while we pray for mercy and an early release, it's crucial to acknowledge God's justice and use this time for reflection and repentance. The Bible tells us that godly sorrow produces repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10 "For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death."). Encourage your husband to seek God's will and purpose in this time. The good news is that God promises awareness to those who call on Him ( Jeremiah 29:12-13 " Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.").
Let's pray together:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her husband. Lord, we ask for Your peace to fill their hearts and minds, guarding them against anxiety and fear ( Philippians 4:7 "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."). We pray for Your forgiveness and mercy upon her husband. Lord, if it is Your will, grant him an early release, but most importantly, help him to seek You and find you and to live in a manner that is pleasing to You. Help them both to grow in their faith and love for You during this challenging time. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9). Keep your faith in Jesus Christ, and He will see you through this storm.
