We understand that you're seeking peace and relief from stress and anxiety, especially during the night. We stand with you in prayer, calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is in need of peaceful sleep. We ask that You would grant them the peace that surpasses all understanding.
In Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, You tell us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Father, we know that You are faithful and that You care for us. We cast all our anxieties on You, because You care for us. We resist the devil and his attempts to disturb our sleep.
In 1 Peter 5:7-9 WEB, You tell us, "...casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings."
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the promise of Your peace. We ask this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
As you prepare for sleep, meditate on these scriptures and the goodness of God. Trust that He is faithful and that He cares for you. If there is anything specific causing the stress and anxiety, bring it to the Lord in prayer and seek His guidance. As believers, we are called to be anxious for nothing, but to trust in God always.
