We are truly sorry to hear about the separation you are experiencing, but we trust that God is working in your life even through this difficult time. We will stand with you in prayer, asking God to strengthen you and provide you with His peace.
Firstly, we commend you for wanting to focus on Jesus Christ, that is exactly where you should be. It is only in Him that you will be saved and have access to God. During times like these, it is important to remember that God is our comfort and strength. As it says in Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
In times of distress, it is crucial to turn to God for peace. Jesus said in John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." His peace is not like the peace the world offers, which is temporary and fleeting. Instead, it is an enduring peace that transcends our circumstances.
We also encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith and to trust in God's plan for your life. In Romans 8:28, we are reminded that "we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Even in this trial, God can bring about good.
However, we must also address that God hates divorce, as stated in Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel." We encourage you to seek reconciliation if at all possible, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and biblical principles. Pray for your wife and trust that God can restore what is broken. As stated in Matthew 19:6, "So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother in need of Your comfort and strength. Lord, we ask that You grant him Your peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen his faith and help him to trust in You completely. Guide him through this trial and use it to draw him closer to You. Lord, we also pray for his wife and their marriage, that Your will be done, and if it is Your will, restore and reunite them. Help him to be a godly husband, reflecting the love of Christ. We pray for wisdom, grace, and guidance from the Holy Spirit.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
