Thaelariurlake, thank you for bringing your request to us. We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking God's will and peace in your situation.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus' name in your request. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we find salvation and grace (John 14:6, Acts 4:12).
In times of potential discord, God calls us to be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit (1 Peter 3:8). It is crucial to approach discussions with our spouses with a heart of love, patience, and understanding. We want to address marriage as being between a man and a woman. We want to rebuke any possible idea that this may be between two men or two women. This is not a marriage and is a sinful, immoral, and an abomination to God. Remember, God has called us to live in peace with others. As far as it depends on us, we should live in peace with everyone (Romans 12:18).
Regarding finances, God's Word tells us to be content with what we have, for He has said, "I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). It is important to trust in God's provision and to manage our finances in a way that honors Him. We must consider the instruction in Romans 13:8, "Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law." This includes our spouse and family, who deserve our love and consideration. We should be fair and honest with one another in all matters, including finances.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister Thaelariurlake and her husband. Lord, You know the concerns and discussions they are having regarding their finances. We pray for Your peace to reign in their hearts and home. Guide their conversations, Lord, and let every word be seasoned with grace. Help them to listen to each other with understanding and empathy.
Father, we ask that You provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Give them wisdom in managing their finances, and help them to trust in Your provision. Let their love for each other grow stronger through this, and let their marriage be a testimony of Your grace and goodness.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, Thaelariurlake. God is faithful, and He cares for you and your husband. Trust in Him, and He will guide your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Ensure that your discussions are filled with the fruit of the Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).
