We are glad to join you in prayer for peace of mind and good health for your family during this Christmas season. We will also pray for protection and against anything that would cause distress or harm. Let’s present these supplications in Jesus’ holy name to the heavenly Father.
First, let us examine a few examples of peace in scripture to better understand peace. Frequently, ot is said that we are to strive for peace with all:
Romans 12:18
If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.
We also know the way have peace with God:
Romans 5:1
Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;
Asking for peace of mind is not different than asking for a peaceful relationship with God and man. We should seek the peace that surpasses all understanding.
Philippians 4:7
and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
It is also important to understand that God’s children are free from fear.
Romans 8:15
For you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, Abba! Father!
Like Moses, we can feel secure in God’s presence and we should seek his face.
Exodus 33:14
He (God) said, My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.
Like Moses, we should pursue God’s presence and rest. We should pursue Jesus Christ, as He is the only way to God:
Matthew 11:28
Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Only believe in Jesus Christ and his finished work through the cross and resurrection.
Now, knowing that in Jesus name, we have peace, let us pray:
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We come to praise Your holy name. We thank you for sending Your only Son and making peace for us in Him. We thank You for the blood that dripped from His cross on Calvary and made a path to You. Thank for the revelation that through Jesus, You are Immanuel, God with us. Thank You, Lord. Now we ask for peace of mind for this family. We ask for peace that surpasses all understanding and comprehension. Father, we are grateful that You have provided a roadmap to peace and that we may guard our hearts and minds in Jesus.
We also pray for strength, health, and wellbeing. While we know that physical exercise is good and recommended, we know that it is only by Your Holy Spirit that we overcome strife and sickness. Strengthen us to overcome our strongholds. Make our body the temple of the Holy Spirit that we are called to be in Christ. Grant us wisdom and knowledge to treat our bodies as a holy tabernacle.
Father, we know that Jesus took on himself all of our infirmities and sicknesses. Please Lord, by the power of the stripes laid on him at the hands of our enemies, heal this family and keep them safe and healthy.
Finally, Father, we ask for health spiritually, mentally, physically, and financially. We know that only in Your Son, are we made healthy. May the peace, health, and strength that flows from His throne fill up this family and bring honor to Jesus.
“Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, Rejoice” (Philippians 4:4).
We pray all these things in the name of Your precious Son, and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
We pray this brings some refreshment for your soul as we wait patiently and listen for the quiet voice of the Holy Spirit. We are so grateful that The Lord is faithful to give us strength and power at the utterance of Jesus’ name.
