We understand that you're seeking peace in every situation, Wilann. Firstly, we want to ensure that you have access to the source of true peace, which is Jesus Christ as the scripture tells us Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
First, let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Wilann, who has asked for your peace. We know nothing in this world which will ever bring the peace that only your son Jesus Christ provides as told in John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Father we know that your peace in us is not just the absence of trouble but is a condition of the heart. A heart that remains tranquil and calm. It can exist in the midst of life's worst trials and storms. Help him/her look to Jesus as Lord so that through belief in Jesus' name, he/she will find that peace and hope to be assured. Let Jesus words confirm this hoped for peace as told in John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
Father, let this peace be the calm and tranquility one feels in our hearts as a result of knowing that all is well between each of us and you. It is a sense of completeness, wholeness, and rightness. Most of all it is the knowledge of sins forgiven and of a beginning and an end that reaches to all eternity.
Father God, as we come to you in Jesus' name, we are to be in submission to his Lordship in obedience to your will. In John 14:21 He who has my commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him.
Father, may Wilann's obedience lead to his/her love for Jesus so that Jesus will disclose himself to him/her, as well as you, loving him/her. And may that love cause Jesus to show his love by appearing unto him as any believer that you have loved, then provide that love, joy, and peace which surpasses all understanding.
Finally Father God, we know if one is anxious about any situation it is because we do not have the peace provided by Jesus. It is though our doubts and fears. We know that anxiety is a sin because it is unbelief and a lack of trust in our Savior, Jesus Christ. It is faith that assures us that God is fully capable of bringing any situation to your desired end, even in spite of the obstacles, and will use all situations, too, to do good for those who love Him and are called according to your purpos To those instead, of being anxious, are to be thankful.
Father, let us thank you, and give you praise for all things and circumstances in Jesus' holy name we ask this. Amen.
