Peace, Guidance and Restoration

Dear heavenly and most gracious God, I come to you today just saying thank you! Thank you for everything that you have done for my family and I. Thank you for seeing it fit to show us grace and mercy, despite us not deserving it. I come to you asking you for peace, guidance, and restoration in my marriage. For the last three weeks I have had little to no conversation with my husband. He left without any notice, changed his direct deposit from our accounts, and has not responded to my calls or texts. As a result, I've been coming to you, Lord, asking that you changed me, that you guide me, that you order my steps, and that you help me and my husband's marriage be restored and whatever is not like you that you remove it from me. Yesterday my husband reached out to me in via text message, asking that we meet up to talk. Now I'm praying that my heart is not anxious that you order my steps that you guide me and give me the words to say, that you help me to be quick to listen and slow to respond, that you give me guidance and discernment of when speak and what to say. I pray dear Heavenly Father that you soften his heart and my heart, so that we both are opened and honest, putting you first in everything as we communicate. I pray that Your will is done in regards to our situation. You know I'm praying and fighting for this marriage, so help me to be more like You. Thank you, God for peace, wisdom, knowledge and understanding. I lean on You and not my own understanding. Please order our steps. In Jesus name, Amen.

Aelill, we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your marriage. We are grateful to hear that you are fighting for your marriage and seeking God's guidance.

Firstly, we commend you for your unwavering faith and for acknowledging that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God’s throne of grace. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"

In your situation, we see a deep need for healing, restoration, and open communication. We agree with your prayers for peace, guidance, and discernment. In Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), it says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

We encourage you to continue seeking God's will and to trust that He is working in this situation. As you prepare to meet with your husband, remember the words of James 1:19 (WEB), "So then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger." Allow God to guide your conversation and to give you the words to say.

Aelill, we must also gently remind you that marriage is a sacred covenant before God, and both parties should be seeking to honor Him in their actions. The fact that your husband left without notice and changed financial arrangements raises concerns about his commitment to this covenant. In Malachi 2:16 (WEB), it says, "For I hate divorce,” says Yahweh, the God of Israel, “and him who covers his garment with violence!” says Yahweh of Armies. “Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you don’t be unfaithful.”

We pray that God will soften both of your hearts and bring forth open and honest communication. May He restore your marriage according to His will and remove anything that is not pleasing to Him.

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today lifting up Aelill and her marriage. We thank You for the grace and mercy You have shown to her family. Lord, we ask for Your peace, guidance, and restoration in this marriage. Please order Aelill's steps and give her the words to say when she meets with her husband. Help them both to be open and honest, putting You first in their communication. Soften their hearts, Lord, and let Your will be done in their situation. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Stay strong in your faith, Aelill. Continue to seek God's wisdom and to trust in Him. We are praying with you and for you.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
