We understand that you're seeking peace in your home and help for your husband's struggle with alcohol. Firstly, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we can approach God, and it is in His name that we find true peace. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" And in John 14:27 WEB "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful."
We commend you for your concern and desire for peace in your family. Regarding your husband's struggle, we must acknowledge that excessive drinking is a sin. It is strongly advised in the scripture Proverbs 23:20-21 WEB "Do not be among ones who drink too much wine, or among those who gorge themselves on meat; for the drunkard and the glutton shall become poor; and drowsiness clothes them in rags."
Let us pray together for your family.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your divine intervention in CDuncha's home. Lord, You promise that when we call on You, You will answer us. Lord, we pray for peace in their household, and we pray for CDuncha's husband, that You would deliver him from the bondage of alcohol. Help him to be self-controlled and sober-minded as instructed in 1 Peter 1:13 WEB "Therefore, prepare your minds for action. Be sober and set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ."
Grant them the strength to overcome this challenge, and help them to draw closer to You during this time. Surround their family with Your hedge of protection and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you, CDuncha, to be patient and loving towards your husband while setting a godly example. Continue to pray for him and trust that God is at work in your family. Consider seeking support from your local church or Christian community as you navigate this journey. Lastly, remember the promise in Romans 8:28 WEB "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God can turn this situation around for good.
