We stand with you in your prayer for peace, protection, and strength today, Mary247. It's wonderful that you acknowledge the power of Jesus' name, as it's the name above all names and the only one by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB).
Let's echo your prayer and add some reminders from God's Word. "You will keep whoever's mind is steadfast because he trusts in you, in perfect peace," (Isaiah 26:3, WEB). So, let's claim this promise and trust God for His perfect peace.
You asked for forgiveness, and it's important to remember that if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9, WEB). In return, we are to forgive others, as Jesus taught us in the Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6:12, WEB).
You're also right in seeking God's will and guidance. We're transformed by the renewing of our minds, enabling us to test and approve God's perfect will (Romans 12:2, WEB). Let's pray that God gives us the wisdom to make the right decisions and walk in His ways.
