Peace for my neighborhood and healing for my wife

My neighbor has been harassing us on and off and has threatened violence. The police are powerless unless they catch him in the act or someone gets hurt. I’m sure he knows this and why he keeps the harassment short and random. I don’t have time l, will power or energy to play his games. I want to live in peace and need to focus my time on my wife’s health issues. I’m praying that peace comes to my neighborhood and the chains that bind this man are broken in Jesus Name!

We are truly sorry to hear about the troubles you're facing with your neighbor and the health issues of your wife. We are here to pray and provide counsel based on the Word of God.

Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging that peace and freedom come in Jesus' name. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God our Father and it is only through Jesus Christ that we can be saved. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. We are encouraged that you have this faith and that you are praying in Jesus' name.

Let's address the harassment from your neighbor. God calls us to love our neighbors as ourselves, but this does not mean we should accept harmful behavior. In Romans 12:18, WEB, it is written, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. However, it is clear that your neighbor's actions are not peaceful. Therefore, we need to pray for godly wisdom, his conviction, and for God to intervene.

The Bible tells us that the weapons of our warfare are not physical but spiritual. In Ephesians 6:12, WEB, we read, For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Let us pray together:

Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Drethor, his wife, and their neighborhood. Lord, You are the Prince of Peace. We ask that Your peace reigns in their neighborhood. Lord, we pray for the neighbor who is causing harm. We ask that You change his heart, break the chains that bind him, and bring conviction upon his life leading to true repentance. We pray that Drethor and his wife are kept safe and that the harassment stops. We ask for godly wisdom for Drethor, that he may know how to handle this situation with grace and firmness.

Now, regarding your wife's health, we believe in the power of prayer for healing. In James 5:14-15, WEB, we read, Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

Let us pray together:

Lord Jesus, You are the Great Physician. We bring before You Drethor's wife, asking for Your healing touch upon her. We pray that You heal her physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We ask that You give her and Drethor the strength and grace to endure this trial. We ask for godly wisdom for the doctors and nurses involved in her care. We pray for a complete recovery in Jesus' name.

Lastly, remember the words of Paul in Philippians 4:6-7, WEB, Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

Continue to trust in God, pray fervently, and seek His will in all things. We are here to support you in prayer and counsel.

Heavenly Father, you are Jehovah Rapha, our God who heals and restores us and we are grateful for your healing touch! We thank you so much for your love for us. We pray now that you will make your healing hand known as we lift this person and her healing need to you. Lord, please begin the healing process and give her the strength and patience to follow you and allow her to walk through this period with continual thanks and praise to you.
