Peace for me in the holiday

I am going through pains here at xmas as a divorced dad, sad at what is no more with my wife and kids. I take responsibility before God for my part in my undoing but it is no less painful and impactful. Also, I was out of work for some time and just recently got another job but have made the same mistakes of pride and not showing enough love and empathy for my fellow man. I am in trouble at work and may lose my job. I seem to be a trouble maker to others and myself, but don't want to be. May God help me change and see me through this very challenging time!

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you are facing, especially during this holiday season. Firstly, we commend you for taking responsibility for your actions and acknowledging your mistakes. That is the first step towards healing and restoration.

Remember, God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. As it says in Psalm 34:18, The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who are crushed in spirit .WEB.

Divorce is not God's original design, but we serve a merciful God who forgives and restores. Jesus Himself said in Malachi 2 16, For I hate divorce, says the Lord, the God of IsraelHe also said, So pay attention to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously. WEB. Even if you have gone through a divorce(separation), God can bring healing and new beginnings. God loves you (John 3:16) as well as your ex-wife (if she is willing to believe also) and your children. God can raise up and bring back to His children themselves a wife or a husband and be a Father to the fatherless. If you have children under 18 years old then they need you more than ever. Jesus saw children as a priority and we see this in a passage where it states, But Jesus said, Allow the little children, and dont forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these. If your work situation is troubling you, remember that God cares about every aspect of our lives, including our work. Colossians 3 23 24 says, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ. WEB. Ask God for wisdom and humility in your workplace. Proverbs 11:2 says, When pride comes, then comes shame, but with the humble is wisdom WEB..

If you are facing the same mistakes of pride and not showing enough love and empathy, remember that God gives us the power to change (or transform to be like Him). 1 Corinthians 10:13 says, No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. WEB. However there is no other way for men to be saved except through Jesus. Believe in Jesus and put Him first in everything. Then confess Jesus should be the Lord, over all of this. Deny yourself.

Let's pray together for Jesus Christ to care for you, The LORD helps his people. He comforts everyone who is suffering!
He never changes his mind about them, and it never seems too late to help them!. As the Bible says in Joel 2:13 14 or John 6:44

Father, we lift up this dear brother to you, asking for your comfort and healing in his life. We know how every marriage is a picture of Jesus Christ relationship with His Bride, the church. We know that every Christian is part of the new covenant. Help him to be restored. Help your servant to be the husband and father you have called him to be. Help those living apart to come back together, through your son Jesus Christ. Please, let every relationship in his life align with the biblical values of a husband and father and a true wife. We know that you can turn any situation around for good. We pray for his work situation, that you would grant him wisdom, humility, and favor. Help him to overcome his struggles with pride and empower him to show love and empathy to others. We pray for his children, that you would be a comfort and a guide for them during this time. Help them with true restoration. We believe that you heal the broken-hearted and bind up their wounds. Renew his joy, hope for the future and health this holiday season to well beyond. We're here for you, brother. We feel your pain, especially during this time of year. It's tough, we know, but remember, God is always with you. He sees your heart, your efforts to take responsibility, and your desire to change.

First off, let's claim that promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We know God is near, and He's ready to comfort you.

Now, about your work situation, let's trust in Colossians 3:23-24, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It's the Lord Christ you are serving." Let's ask God for wisdom, humility, and favor in your workplace.

We also want to encourage you, just as Romans 12:2 does, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Change is possible, and God is faithful to help you.

Let's pray together, "Dear Lord, we lift up our brother to You. Comfort him, heal him, and guide him. Help him be the husband and father You've called him to be. Bring restoration to his relationships and wisdom to his work. We trust in Your power to heal and restore. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
