Jennifer, we are with you in spirit, praying that God fills your heart with his peace, contentment, and joy.
Please know that it is only natural to experience various emotions, but as a believer, we are called to rise above our feelings and find our joy in the Lord.
In Philippians 4:4-7 (WEB), the Apostle Paul encourages us, "Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, Rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Paul himself experienced many trials and hardships, yet he found contentment in Christ.
As it says in Philippians 4:11-13 (WEB), "Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Notice no mention of a husband or a boyfriend. It is only through Christ who strengthens us, not man.
Jennifer, we will pray for you to find your joy and contentment only in Christ.
Believing mama, we lift you up in prayer, asking God to help you rise above your feelings and find your joy in Him. We pray that you will be filled with His peace, contentment, and joy in every circumstance. We ask this only in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
