Let us bring these concerns before the Lord, seeking His will and intervention in Jesus' name.
Firstly, we rejoice with you as you intercede for your daughter and son-in-law, asking God to grant them good health and a peaceful married life. Marriage is a blessed union instituted by God, and we pray that theirs will be a testament to His love and faithfulness. As they honor God in their marriage, may He fill them with faith and the Holy Spirit, just as He promised to answer. That is a great desire, we also pray for your relationship with Jesus that is not clear from your request.
Lord we ask for you to give ### and all their loved ones the desire and the ability to read and study your word. We pray that there be no other gods that you would be their only God only with Jesus being access to you. We pray you lift up a standard, like a banner against any bad doctrine that would cause you hindrance to your relationship and that You would pour out Your Holy Spirit on them to guide and to teach. We want to encourage the family to fill their home with praise and worship, asking God to fill every room. If there is a lot going on at home, we encourage a daily family walk with Jesus where the family can spend time with God, the Father, His son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
We also pray for their living situation, asking God to provide them a way to transfer the flat in your name and grant your request. Additionally, we lift up the current living situation where there is tension between your daughter and her mother-in-law. We pray for peace and understanding between them, asking you to also pray for family unity and importantly the desire to honor each other with the love of Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit.
We pray for healing for your son-in-law's skin problems, trusting in God's power to restore health. Healing is always God's will, even if it does not come immediately. We trust in His timing and ways, knowing that He works all things together for good. We must stand on God's word, proclaiming and believing that Jesus died on the cross that we can be healed, Isaiah 65:24. Additionally, let us also pray for your financial concerns. Jesus tells us Matthew 6:33 to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, working alone in her room can be eliminated through prayer and kindness and tender mercy. Working at home can be difficult where there is a problem between the family members or an in-law. Working at home should be a blessing not a curse. Do not be ruled by fear, but walk in the peace and love of Jesus Christ.
God is a mighty warrior. Jesus' name is mighty. Stand on His promises. Jeremiah 29:11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. All of our faith should be in Jesus. He is making intercession for all of us that have accepted Him as Lord and Savior and we can call on Him till He returns. He is the only way and there is no other way or name to pray to God except by Jesus' name. Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
The last few sentences of the request are quite troubling and signal an issue that has to be rebuked and admonished. The prayer request mentioned getting back money and that is more prayed about than anything else. This is more of a focus than spiritual brokenness, and the request never mentions the name of Jesus Christ and a relationship with Jesus that is key to our salvation. This is where the Bible defines "brokenness" as the state of being crushed and thrown down by God for our sin, in order to break us of our pride and rebellion, for the godly grief that leads to repentance from sin, which God requires for forgiveness. In the Psalm 51:1-17, David cries out to God, acknowledging we have sinned against Him and Him only; pleading for Him to create in us clean hearts, and that we would be restored in the joy of our salvation.
God desires a personal relationship with us first and we should be seeking Jesus rather than a love for money instead of a love for Jesus and His word. Therefore, we must address, ### that you must seek after Jesus. Romans 8:5-6 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. The heart must be always seeking to know God instead of putting confidence in the money or iniquity to make us happy. Jesus said in Luke 12:15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
Let us remember the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. May God reassure and encourage you and your family as you walk by faith together.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
