We understand your need for peace and rest, especially as midnight approaches. Remember, peace and sleep are gifts from God. It is important to come before the Lord in the name of Jesus, as it is only by His name that we can approach God and receive His gifts. As it says in John 14:6 WEB
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, thanking You for Your love and care. We lift up this person who seeks Your peace and a good night's sleep. We ask that You grant them a calm and relaxed spirit, and that You watch over them as they sleep, keeping them safe and at peace, through the night. Help them to rest in Your presence, knowing that You are always with them.
In Jesus name.
Also, let us remember the words of Psalm 4:8 WEB:
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety.
It is our prayer that we all live life in a way that is pleasing to the Lord so that we can have peace. Please remember the words of our Savior in Matthew 11:28-30 WEB:
Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
As you prepare to sleep please allow the words of Psalm 91:1-2, 91:4-5 WEB to encourage you:
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.... He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.... You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day;
