Firstly, it's important to remember that God is our ultimate provider. As it is written in Philippians 4:19 (WEB), "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We should always turn to Him in our times of need and trust that He will provide.
However, we also need to be proactive and do our part. In 2 Thessalonians 3:10 (WEB), it says, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, don't let him eat.'" While this might seem harsh, it's a reminder that we should be actively seeking work and opportunities to support ourselves.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up our dear brother/sister who is in great need. Lord, You know their struggles, their pains, and their fears. We ask that You provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Open up doors of opportunity for them to find work and a stable home. Give them the strength and wisdom to make the right decisions and to be good stewards of the resources You provide.
Lord, we also pray that You would guide their steps and lead them to people who can help and support them during this difficult time. Remind them constantly of Your love and provision, and give them a peace that surpasses all understanding.
Lastly, Lord, we pray that if our dear brother/sister has not yet accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, that they would come to know Him today. For it is only through Jesus that we have access to You, Father, and it is only through His name that we can be saved.
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen."
