Captain Hugo
Servant
Dear Father in Heaven,
I pray brothers and sisters that we may all be patient as we await God’s glorious Heavenly Kingdom; that we may learn to be calm amidst the hustle and bustle of our earthly existence, just as our Father instructs us . . .
“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”
(Psalms 46:10)
“My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my expectation is from Him.”
(Psalms 62:5)
Let us always bear in mind that our living God of the Bible promises us a priceless reward . . .
“eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality.”
(Romans 2:7)
Let us remember that it is God’s timetable we live by, not our own . . .
“You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.”
(James 5:8)
And to share the Gospel with others, we must be tolerant and not forceful . . .
“And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient.”
(2 Timothy 2:24)
We need to have strength of mind and spirit for understanding the plight of others . . .
“Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:14)
Let us never forget to be . . .
“Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer.”
(Romans 12:12)
For indeed, there is a “bright light at the end of the tunnel” . . .
“The end of a thing is better than its beginning;
The patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.”
(Ecclesiastes 7:8)
In Jesus' name, I pray,
Amen!
