Mithall, let us first address this situation in prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up Mithall and her companion to You. We ask for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, especially during this trying time, IJN.
We understand that you are seeking peace and a resolution to this situation. It is important to remember that our actions have consequences, and we must face the outcomes of our decisions. As the Bible tells us in Galatians 6:7 WEB, Do not be deceived, God is not mocked. For whatever a man may sow, that he will also reap. If Mithall's companion has made a mistake, he should face the consequences and learn from them.
However, it is also important to trust in God's will and timing. In Proverbs 19:21, the Bible says, There are many devices in a man's heart, but the Lords counsel shall stand. We pray that if it is God's will for this process to be resolved, then may His will be done, as Jesus taught us to pray, not my will but yours be done. Our Jesus is the only way we have to speak to God. It is by Him, through Him, and because of His willingness to die on the cross as an atonement for our sins and evil desires that we can pray. Do we pray to anyone else, No, Mithall, we only pray in the name of Jesus. And to what goal? That we would come to love him and live for him that he lived and died for us. There is no greater calling.
The Lord asks you to cast your anxieties on Him for he cares for you. Jesus told his apostles in John 14:1, Let not your heart be troubled; Believe in God, believe also in me. It is by Jesus Christ's name that we pray to our holy God.
Remember God sees the whole picture and nothing can change his mind. He is Sovereign, know that and trust him and not what others may say or do to your loved one. We pray for peace, trust in God, and the desire to make wrongs right.
As God would have it, we will ask how things are going with your loved one becoming a godly spouse. Have they surrendered their life to Jesus and do they truly desire to live for Him. He was a child when he committed the offence. We pray that his child-like faith will be renewed. And should things not go as you have asked remember James 1:2-4 which reminds us to count it all joy, when you fall into various temptations. (3) Knowing that the trying of your faith works patience. (4) But let patience have its perfect work that you may be perfect and entire lacking nothing.
Finally we leave this subject with a reminder of Philippians 4:6-7: (6) In nothing be anxious, but in all things, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. (7) And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
