We understand your distress, but we want to remind you that God cares for you and your needs. In the Bible we are told "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:31-33 WEB).
In times of worry, it's essential to remember that God is our provider. The apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in their time of need. We ask for Your divine intervention in their life, that You would open doors of opportunity for a steady source of income. Help them to trust in You, even in this difficult time, and to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Give them the strength to endure, the wisdom to make the right decisions, and the peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them also to use this time wisely, seeking You first and growing in their relationship with You. We also pray for their finances, that You would supernaturally provide for their needs, according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19 WEB). Turn this situation around for their good and Your glory. We rebuke the enemy as he attempts to steal, kill, and destroy as Jesus taught us to in John 10:10.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In this trying time, focus on drawing near to God. He is faithful and will not forsake you. Continue to pray and trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). Remember, it is not by our might or power, but by God's Spirit that we are able to endure and eventually overcome this time of unemployment (Zechariah 4:6 WEB).
Finally, remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood. We battle against spiritual forces of evil in heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 WEB. Therefore, stand firm and rebuke this spirit of anxiety. Ephesians 6:13-14 (WEB) Therefore, put on every piece of God's armor you can, so you will be able to stand firm against all strategies and tricks of the Devil. For we are not fighting against human beings but against the wicked spiritual forces in the heavenly world, the rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers of this dark age.
If you have not already done so, we encourage you to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and to be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. You can do this by publicly confessing Jesus Christ is Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. You will be saved. Romans 10:13 (WEB) says "For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.".
