We join with you, ###, in lifting up your brother ### before the throne of grace. We stand in agreement with you and your family, trusting that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20, WEB).
In times of distress and illness, we find comfort in the words of the Psalmist: "The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of pain. You will sustain him on his sickbed" (Psalm 41:3, WEB). We pray that God will strengthen ###, sustain him, and surround him with His healing presence.
However, we must also address the sobering reality of the doctors' prognosis. Even in the face of such news, we remember the words of Paul: "We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed" (2 Corinthians 4:8-9, WEB). Our hope is not in the medical prognosis, but in the power of God to heal and save.
We pray that God will heal ### of both pancreatic and liver cancer. We pray that God will be glorified in this situation, whether through miraculous healing or through the testimony of ### and your family's faith in the face of adversity. We pray for peace and comfort for ###, his children, and your entire family during this time.
We also pray that ###, you, and your family will continue to trust in Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are saved (John 14:6, Acts 4:12, WEB).
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### to You. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the Healer of all diseases. We ask that You touch ###'s body, heal him of pancreatic and liver cancer, and restore him to full health. We ask that You give him strength and comfort during this time, and that You give peace and comfort to his children and family. Lord, we ask that You be glorified in this situation, and that ### and his family will continue to trust in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
