We are truly sorry to hear about the pain you are experiencing, Lerrys, and we are here to pray and offer some biblical encouragement. First, we want to remind you that God cares about every aspect of our lives, including our physical health. In Matthew 7:7-8 WEB, Jesus says, Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.
However, we also want to remind you that God heals us according to His will. In 2 Corinthians 12:7-9 it says: By reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted excessively, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, that I should not be exalted excessively. Concerning this thing, I begged the Lord three times that it might depart from me. He has said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. In this passage, God allows pain to be present in Paul's life. So we should be sure to pray for God's will to be done. This is reflected in Jesus' prayer to His Father in Luke 22:42, Saying, Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.
With that in mind, let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Lerrys who is experiencing pain in his gums following oral surgery. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon him. Ease his discomfort, and if it is Your will, remove this pain completely. Give him strength to endure and patience during this time. We pray that he may be back to God given normal as quickly as possible. Also, be with the doctors and nurses and guide their decisions.
We also pray for Lerrys' faith to be strengthened during this time. Help him to trust in You completely, knowing that Your grace is sufficient for him. In Jesus' name we pray.
Lerrys, we encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord and to seek Him in prayer. Remember that God's power is made perfect in weakness, and that He is always with you, even in times of pain and suffering. We also encourage you to seek medical attention when appropriate as God allows for such avenues in His grace and mercy. We will continue to pray for your healing and for God's will to be done in your life.
Finally, we want to mention that we only have access to God the Father through Jesus Christ. It is only by His Name that we can be saved. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. By this we should be sure to pray in Jesus' Name.
