Prayer Warrior
Please pray for the persecuted house churches in China and in the lands China has taken over (Mongolia & Tibet). Many, and especially Chinese citizens, don't realize that churches have to be registered with the government. Churches are only recognized if they are a part of the Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM) which was created in
a bid to control Christians and to promote their own political agenda inside the churches during the 1980s.
The corrupt leaders of the TSPM have severely restricted what Three-Self Church pastors and members are allowed to do. Ministry is not allowed without their permission. Evangelism is discouraged. All outreach to children is strictly banned. They even decree that certain parts of the Bible cannot be preached, such as the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus. They are not allowed to teach on divine healing, or the deliverance of demons. The entire book of Revelation is banned! So when you visit China and see church structures and building, remember that they are cages and the Christians are their prisoners.
House churches, reject such control and interference. They believe that Jesus is the head of his church, not the government and for this they are hunted down by the Chinese government's Public Security Bureau (PSB). Our brothers and sisters are threatened, beaten, thrown into prison and are forced to attend "re-education" classes and detention centers because they refuse to worship Jesus Christ in the way the government directs them to. And rightfully so! The Bible says believers and unbelievers should not be yoked together. How can light and darkness dwell together?
The pure bride of Christ can never be controlled by an atheistic government or led by men who hate God!
This is happening today. If you go to this link, a house church in Mongolia was able to post a video of the PSB arresting Christians for having church after they broke off from the TSPM. This happened last month. Present day persecution is very real and it's not just in Islamic countries. Stand with our brothers and sisters and pray for them continually.
Remember the prisoners as if chained with them—those who are mistreated—since you yourselves are in the body also. Heb 13:3
