Beloved of All
"It is important we remember that God is not behind anything bad or ugly. But when those things happen, know that He can make all things work together for good. And don’t let anyone tell you that all things will work together for good only if you love God and are called according to His purpose. These two things are not conditions but descriptions of believers. Believers are those who love God because they know that God first loved them. (1 John 4:19) And they are called according to His purpose for they have been born again and belong to Him. Because you have been born again, all things in your life will work together for good. This is your inheritance as a beloved child of God!"
At our memorial this morning for our aunt, the Preacher spoke about this also, that our purpose is His, who died and rose again, that we who believe shall have life, abundantly, that all things He works for good, that He is Glorified through His Son. He called our memorial a Home Going Celebration, told us to stop acting like we were at a funeral, a funeral is for the dead, let the dead bury their dead, let us rejoice for she went home! We are citizens of the Most High and His Glorious Kingdom, and our prayer as it is in heaven in earth also should be proclaimed. Did Christ not die, for us, who believe, therefore He left us an inheritance, which is His power, His peace, His Glory and His good, life, and we are to walk in it. The preacher then went on to say, we spend to much time in the graveyard! At the grave! I don't know about you but I am tired of wearing mourning cloths.
Father accept our praise as sweet incense before your throne, accept our confessions of sins, wrongs and waywardness, and accept our confessions of our need of you, as offerings of self, humbled before you.Accept our petitions as agreement with your will according to your word and according to your will and may it be pleasing in your sight, our submission to you. Father we are no longer mourning, but rejoicing, no longer in mourning cloths, but wearing robes of rejoicing, no longer tears of beggars but tears of great joy, no longer last, but first, oh Father, we rejoice in your presence, and with thanksgiving we worship you. We enter your courts with song and dance, for forgiveness has overflowed from heaven and we walk in your mercy and grace, and your good is poured out, humbled we kneel, to praise you and to receive, Amen
