Almighty God, may we consider, this day, the place in which we stand, that we not be deceived in thinking that we are near You while we are living far away. Teach us, O Lord, the way to draw nearer to You each day, until our spirit may continually dwell with You. Show us clearly the line which divides right and wrong; good and bad, that we may not fear the censure of the world, but with our whole heart, soul, and mind, diligently seek to do Your will, You way. Now, O God, grant us, as we go forth this day, that there be no room in our souls for doubt. Help us to keep the those things under our feet that are inclined to destroy happiness. Grant us the wisdom to be cautious and careful that our own neglect and carelessness may not cause the loss of our faith; and keep us ever trustful as we look to the great light that guides us over the uncertain way. In the powerful name of  Christ, we do pray and declare it all. Amen.
