We are truly sorry to hear that you feel overwhelmed and stressed, Dalurth. We around you in prayer, remember that our "[Abbot] Father knows what things ye have need of, before ye ask." Let's begin this great privilege of prayer "for it is written instructed that this God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God." (John 16:23, Matthew 6:8, Ephesians 17-18)
Firstly, our mental health and ability to move forward is depend on the state of our spirit. We must place the utmost importance on being well in our spirits. Our confidence comes from pressing in to the spirit of God and sensing God's presence continually. This is the essential difference in the life of a Christian. "[N]ot by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to God's mercy God saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which God shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by God's grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life." (Titus 3:5-7)
Then when troubles come, we can say "Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." for we know that "[A]ll things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to God's purpose." (Romans 8:28; 1 John 4:4) This calling consists of salvation and a changed life through a changing relationship with Jesus Christ. "For whom God did foreknow, God also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of God's Son, that God might be the firstborn among many brethren" (Romans 8:29).
Therefore, the cure for anxiety is surrender to Christ himself. Knowing Christ and living in the presence of Christ is confidence in the state of our spirit. Yet, it is only through the name of Jesus that we have this unspeakable joy to pray to God and be fully saved. There is no other way except through Jesus. "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)
Let us pray:
