Overwhelmed

All my savings from my late parents flat of $70,000 was paid for restitution. Lawyer's fee was $40,000 plus. The lawyer said if the restitution of $74,000 was paid, he could plead for a lower sentence but he just kept quiet. Lawyer's are nothing but liars. They're just out to make money. My daughter was not the only one working for this f&b. There are others too. The young lady prosecutor have no empathy at all. Why wasn't the rest of the staff not mention in the court. On top of that it was published in the newspaper. I cried out to Jesus but what was the result of praying. I'm so shattered. My daughter is left with just a week to spend time with her boys.

We understand your deep distress and heartache, Ixonorb. Let's first turn to God's Word for comfort and guidance. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28 WEB.

In times of trouble, it's important to remember that God is a refuge for us. "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1 WEB. While lawyers and human systems may fail, God's love and justice are infallible.

Regarding your feelings towards lawyers and the prosecutor, we must remember what the Word of God says, "Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t respond to insults with insults. Instead, pay back with a blessing, because you were called to do this so that you might inherit a blessing." 1 Peter 3:9 WEB. It's crucial to leave vengeance to God and continue praying for all parties involved.

We're concerned that you feel your prayers haven't been answered. Remember, God hears our prayers and answers in His own time and way. "In my distress I called on Yahweh. Yes, I called to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry for help came into his ears." 2 Samuel 22:7 WEB. Even when we don't see immediate results, we must trust in His plan.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up Ixonorb and their daughter. Lord, in this distressing time, we ask for Your comfort and peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray for justice and mercy in this situation. Guide the lawyers and prosecutors, Lord, and soften their hearts. We also pray for the rest of the staff involved, that truth and fairness would prevail. In the name of Jesus Christ, we believe and trust that You will bring resolution and healing. Amen.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue trusting in Jesus Christ. It's only through Him that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all." 1 Timothy 2:5-6 WEB. Keep holding onto Him, even in the darkest times.

"He is a very present help in trouble," Psalm 46:1 tells us. We've been praying for you and your daughter, asking God to comfort you both, to guide those involved in the case, and to bring justice and mercy to light.

We understand the frustration with the lawyer's fees and the prosecutor's lack of empathy, but let's not forget, "Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because it is to this you were called," 1 Peter 3:9. Let's leave room for God's justice and mercy.

Your prayers are not unheard, Ixonorb. Even if we don't see immediate results, we trust that God is working in His own time. "He has not forgotten or ignored your cries," Psalm 9:12 says. Let's keep lifting this situation to Him, believing that He will work it out for your good.

In the meantime, let's focus on the time your daughter has left before her sentence. Let's make those moments count, filling them with love, support, and cherished memories. And remember, no matter what, Jesus is always there for you. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest," Matthew 11:28. Keep holding on to Him, Ixonorb.
