We are with you in spirit, lifting up your family in prayer. We commend you for acknowledging the struggle with alcohol and its impact on your marriage. Remember, God is faithful, and he will not allow you to be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it, 1 Corinthians 10:13.
Drunkenness is strongly condemned and a sin. Wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise. Proverbs 20:1. Therefore, we encourage you both to seek God's help in overcoming this habit. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths, Proverbs 3:5-6. Ask God for the Holy Spirit to strengthen you in this battle against alcohol.
We rejoice with you that your son is overcoming his struggle with hard drugs. We pray that he will find a good job and godly friends who will support his walk with Christ. We ask God that your son will not be conformed to this world, but will be transformed by the renewing of his mind, that he may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God, Romans 12:2.
Regarding work challenges, we pray that God will grant you favor with your employer and customers. We ask God to bless your daughter with a better job as well.
Let's pray together:
Dear Jesus Christ,
We come before You, lifting up this family. We ask for Your help in overcoming their struggle with alcohol. Strengthen their marriage, Lord, and help them to be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, and in patience, Titus 2:2.
We thank You for the progress their son has made. Continue to keep him from the temptation of hard drugs. Provide him with a good job and godly friends who will encourage him in his walk with You.
Help this dear one overcome their work challenges. Grant them favor with their employer and customers. Bless their daughter with a better job.
In all these things, we ask that You bless this family. Help them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, and all these things will be given to them as well, Matthew 6:33.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you all to continue trusting in God. He promises that whatever we ask in His name, He will do it that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in His name, He will do it, John 14:13-14. Keep praying and keep believing.
