Overcoming Addiction

Family of God kindly help me pray for friend who has an addiction of smoking. Many times he has tried to quit this addiction but he can't.. He has been admitted to the rehab severally and he thinks he is stuck and he wants to give up on himself. I know God knows his weakness and has better plans for him... God bless you all.

Dear Family of God,

We come before you in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our dear friend who is struggling with the addiction of smoking. Lord, we know that addiction can be a powerful stronghold, but we believe in the power of Your saving grace to set our friend free.

Father, we ask that You would intervene in our friend's life and break the chains of addiction that bind him. We pray that You would touch his heart and fill him with a deep desire to overcome this habit. Help him to see that he is not alone in this battle, for You are with him every step of the way.

Lord, we pray for divine strength and perseverance for our friend. Give him the courage to seek the help he needs, whether it be through rehab or any other means that You provide. Surround him with a support system of loving and understanding individuals who will encourage and uplift him in his journey towards freedom.

We declare Your promises over our friend's life, for Your Word says in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." We believe that Your grace is more than enough to overcome any weakness or addiction.

Father, we trust in Your perfect plans for our friend's life. We pray that You would guide him towards a life of wholeness and purpose, free from the bondage of addiction. May he experience the abundant life that You have promised in John 10:10.

In Jesus' name, we pray for complete deliverance and transformation for our friend. May Your love and mercy surround him, giving him the strength to overcome every obstacle. We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for the victory that is already won in Christ Jesus.

Let Your Word be a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. God bless me with Your favor, knowledge, wisdom, peace, protection, prosperity, strength, and success in all You have called me to do. And bless me to do all You have called me to do in the spirit of excellence for Your glory.

God bless me with the strength, desire, and passion to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Bless me to know You, love You, and live my life to please You. God cleansed me of everything in my life that breaks your heart. Let me be a light in this dark world, lifting You up in the lifestyle that I live. Let the world see that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Lord of ALL of my life. Let the joy of the Lord be my strength. Protect me God from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who truly love me, care about me, want Your best for me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. God please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Thank You Lord Jesus. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so in Jesus' name.
