Thastende, we stand with you in prayer and advice as you seek freedom from addiction, anxiety, and the challenges you face with your daughter and financial struggles.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of the name of Jesus Christ. It is through Him that we have access to God's grace and mercy. As it is written, "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace" (Ephesians 1:7 WEB). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life to Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
To overcome addiction, fix your eyes on Jesus. "Let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith" (Hebrews 12:1-2 WEB). Addiction is a stronghold, but God's power is greater. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). Pray for strength and seek godly counsel to break this chain.
For anxiety, cast your cares upon Him. "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you" (1 Peter 5:6-7 WEB). Trust in Him, and He will see you through.
Regarding your daughter, continue to pray and be an example of God's love. "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6 WEB). Remember, God has the power to turn hearts. "The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires" (Proverbs 21:1 WEB).
For your financial struggles, trust God and be content. "Let your way of life be free from the love of money, being content with what you have, for he said, 'I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you'" (Hebrews 13:5 WEB). Pray for God's provision and wisdom in managing your finances.
Lastly, concerning marriage, pray for God's will and timing. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). Seek a godly spouse and trust God to bring the right person into your life.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Thastende. Deliver them from addiction and anxiety, Lord. Soften their daughter's heart and draw her to You. Provide for their financial needs and guide them to a godly spouse. Strengthen their faith and help them to trust in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
