Hi, Here’s a 3rd party opinion to consider: Although I don’t know much about this situation, I have a therapist's background. I’m so sorry that you’re going through this. I’ve been there, done that too. It’s nerve-wracking. You can’t control who your son chooses to be with. I’m sure you’ve already told him you don’t approve, so he already knows, and repeating it won’t change things; it might in fact get him pissed off. She may have control over his contact with you for now, but calm down, because I don’t think that will last more than a few months or a year. After the initial attraction he has to her fades, he’ll probably contact you, or at least start taking your calls. Maybe you can arrange with him to just text him for now, so she doesn’t hear your phone calls. Or ask him to call you in private. There’s nothing worse than knowing someone’s partner is listening in on your relationship with your own son. He was brought up by you in a loving family, so he knows about being a good person, thanks to you. Attraction to a person can do funny things and change the way people act. But it’s hopefully only temporary. Making your feelings known will only make matters worse if you keep doing it. She won’t like you; she’ll see you as a threat, and then things get even worse. I’m praying with you and your family. Maybe just stop calling him for a few weeks or a month. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. And soon he’ll start thinking, hey, she isn’t being nice to my family. If it goes on, and he stays with her permanently, just try to suck it up and be as nice to her as possible even if you don’t approve of her. Hope this helps a little.Our son left his children, siblings and parents all for an evil woman. He was brought up in a loving home and the Catholic church. No one that knows him can believe what has happened to our family. We are heart sick, cannot contact him only through her, which we can't trust. I pray everyday and night for him to come home. It's like he is in a cult
