We are truly concerned for the safety of Tito's three cousins, Nisreen, Inness, and Ghufran, who have crossed the border from Sudan to Egypt to escape the war. We are also mindful of the challenges they may face in Egypt, where Sudanese refugees often encounter discrimination and aggression. We trust in the Lord's protection and guidance during this difficult time.
Firstly, we would like to encourage you, Lucy, and all those with you to take courage. Especially when feeling like you are a stranger in a strange land. We take courage that the Lord is faithful to protect and guide His people in difficult circumstances and lands that are not their own, as we are reminded of this by the following scripture, Deuteronomy 10:18 WEB He executes justice for the fatherless and widow, and loves the foreigner, giving him food and clothing, and Exodus 22:21 WEB You shall not wrong a stranger, nor oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. And, just as the Israelites were delivered from their bondage, we pray that God, in His abundant mercy, would be near to each person in this situation. May He protect, guide, and deliver as He did so many times before in each of our lives.
As Jesus taught us we pray, and encourage Lucy and the family to pray. We first pray to God the Father through the intercession of Jesus Christ and no one else. To do otherwise would be Idolatry which is forbidden. Through Jesus Christ's intercession God the Father receives our prayers, hears our cries for help, and responds out of His gracious love. In accordance with Matthew 6:5-6 WEB we enter into a quiet place. We do this to pray privately, specifically, and on behalf of your request as follows:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine protection and guidance for Tito's cousins Nisreen, Inness, and Ghufran, as well as for Tito, Tamara, Sarah, Rebecca, Sam, Adam, Lucy and all who are close to this family. Lord, You see the struggles and dangers they face, and we ask that You surround them with Your angels, keeping them safe from harm as they navigate this difficult situation. We take courage in knowing that those who trust in the Lord shall never have to flee.
Father, we ask that You soften the hearts of the Egyptian people they encounter, replacing anger and suspicion with compassion and understanding. We pray that You would change the hearts of those in this country, so they might not take advantage of their plight but would only seek to show them love. We know that you commanded us to be a servant to all nations and to take care of the foreigners in our lands. It is only with your help and by abiding in your Spirit that we are able to do this as you commanded.
We also ask that You provide for their needs, guiding them to helpful resources and supportive individuals as they seek to make your name known and to be servants to their new community and country. Ultimately Lord, we are all foreigners on this earth and have no home. Our earthly bodies being just a tabernacle and our true dwelling place being in Heaven in your presence for all eternity. We come to you seeking your will. In all things Lord you are our first love, our greatest example, and the greatest testimony of your salvation. Help us as we strive to be a beacon for you. It is only in the presence of your light that we have no shadows.
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ and no one else. We stand in His name as co-heirs of his kingdom and everything that he is heir to. So we ask you Father and thank you that you are with us all the days of our lives, until you call us to your side to dwell in your presence.
And, even though this message did not come to us in the name of Jesus, we exhort you all to remember to pray this way. Praying in any other name is not Scriptural and you will receive no answer for God does not share his glory with another. It is only through Jesus Christ we have access to God, and it is only in His name do we receive what we ask of God, and it is only in Jesus's name that we are saved. If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed. And with that we offer you some verses to strengthen your faith. John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." and John 8:36 WEB If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. And Acts 4:12 WEB There is salvation in none other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
We encourage all who see this to call on the name of the Lord and make Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior of their lives. Believing in the Lord Jesus Christ is what we are commanded to do as we receive the free gift of salvation from God. With this we offer John 3:16 WEB For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. With this we invite you to accept the offer of salvation today.
