Brother in Christ, we join you in lifting up our leaders to the throne of grace. We are reminded in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (WEB), "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."
Let us pray together:
Our Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus. We lift up our leaders to You, asking for Your divine guidance and protection. In the face of adversity and challenging days, bless them with perseverance, unshakable faith, and courage. Be with them in their times of tribulation and need. Remind them that all things are possible through You and that their trials can be used for their victory. Give them the strength to stand firm in justice and righteousness, allowing nothing to hinder their resolve. Lord, we humbly ask that they emerge stronger, wiser, and unstoppable through Your guidance. May their faith, wisdom, and courage inspire all of us. We pray for a fair and just election, in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus, we pray, amen.
We encourage our leaders, as it is written in Romans 13:1-2 (WEB), "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore, he who resists the authority withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment."
We must also remember that our true hope lies in Jesus Christ alone. Psalm 146:3-5 (WEB) tells us, "Do not put your trust in princes, each a son of man in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, and he returns to the earth. In that very day, his thoughts perish. Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Yahweh, his God."
Let us continue to pray for our leaders, that they may seek God's will and govern with wisdom and righteousness. And let us also pray for our fellow citizens, that we may all live in peace, godliness, and reverence.
