'Our Gold Standard' - Luke 6:31

Some principles are the center around which other principles turn. They capture the truth in a succinct, and yet profound, way. The "Golden Rule" is one of those principles. It is a commandment from Jesus that sets the gold standard of relationship principles. This short commandment from Jesus defines what it means to love our neighbors as ourselves [1] and opens our motives and behaviors up to self-scrutiny. Now, if we will only live this commandment in every area of life ... like when we drive, and when we talk to family members, and when we are asked to forgive someone, and when we are ready to gossip or to condemn another's motives, and ...

Today's Prayer​


Father, may I truly and fully understand this profound commandment and obey it in every aspect of my daily life. Move through your Holy Spirit in me to conform me more completely into the embodiment of this commandment your Son both taught and lived. In his name, I pray, Amen.

Love others just as Jesus loved us, this is the most wonderful command God has given to us.
 
Father God, thank You for Your plan of salvation and for the sacrifice of Jesus for all believers and for Your precious gift of the Holy Spirit and Your Word. Glory to Your Holy Name!!!!
 
Kindness of our heart generates good deeds just as Jesus heart did when ten lepers came to Him asking for healing. Holy is the Lord our God. He is kind and good to all of us. Let us all be just like Him.
