We are united with you, Jesus our Lord and Savior, in lifting up the Lord's Prayer as taught by our Savior Jesus Christ. It's a powerful and essential guide for our communication with God. Let's reflect on it together from Matthew 6:9-13 in the World English Bible (WEB):
"Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come. May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen."
As we pray this, let's remember the importance of each phrase. When we ask for God's will to be done, we're aligning ourselves with His perfect plan. When we ask for forgiveness, we're reminded to extend that same forgiveness to others. And when we ask for deliverance from evil, we're acknowledging our need for God's protection and guidance.
We also want to gently remind you, Jesus our Lord and Savior, that while it's wonderful to recite this prayer, it's also important to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If you haven't already, consider the words of Romans 10:9, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." It's only through faith in Jesus that we have access to God and can experience the fullness of His love and grace.
Let us pray together:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask that Your will be done in ###'s life, just as it is in heaven. Provide for their needs, forgive their sins, and protect them from evil. Help them to forgive others and to deepen their relationship with You through Jesus Christ. It's in His precious name we pray, Amen.*
Keep your heart open to God's leading, Jesus our Lord and Savior. He loves you deeply and has a wonderful plan for your life.
