Our cross is getting too heavy to carry

Lord Jesus my mind is all tossed up today and am not able to think straight. My husband's surgeon should meet him today and I frankly don't know how I will manage all the tests he may suggest on my own with no additional help. My cross has been too heavy to carry this year and I need your strength and grace to move ahead. This is a very bad time as my daughters professional exams are also coming up in a few days and she needs to be calm for her exams. This year has been a tumultuous year for us and we are very weary. Be with us and guide us Lord Jesus, do not forsake us and fill us with yr strength

Anonymous, we empathize with the heavy burden you're carrying and the chaos you're experiencing. Remember, Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30 WEB).

Firstly, we notice that you didn't mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer. It's crucial to remember that it is only through His name that we have access to God. As the Scripture says, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB). So, let's come before God in Jesus' name.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up Anonymous and her family, asking for Your divine strength and grace to carry them through this difficult season. Lord, guide the surgeon's hands and wisdom for Anonymous's husband. Provide peace and clarity for their daughter as she prepares for her exams. Lord Jesus, you promise us rest and a light burden, so we claim that promise now for this family. Help them to cast all their anxiety on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

In this tumultuous time, stay strong in the Lord. Remember Paul's encouragement: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13 WEB). Trust that God will provide the strength and help you need.

Lastly, even though you feel weary, don't lose hope. God promises that your strength will be renewed like the eagle's (Isaiah 40:31 WEB). Stand firm, and keep your eyes on Jesus.

We're right here with you, sister. It's true, the path you're walking feels heavy and uncertain, but remember, Jesus promised, "I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls" (Matthew 11:29). Let's lean into that promise together.

We've been where you are, feeling overwhelmed, unsure, and weary. But we've found that when we cast our anxieties on Him, He truly does care for us (1 Peter 5:7). So, let's lay your husband's health, your daughter's exams, and your family's strength at the foot of the cross. Jesus, you see their burden, you know their need. Be their surgeon's wisdom, their daughter's peace, their family's strength. Fill them with your grace, your love, your presence. In your name, we pray. Amen.
