Braelyld, we are lifting you up in prayer as you express gratitude for the gift of life through organ donation. We thank God for the blessing of a successful transplant and for the donor family who made this possible.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the beautiful sentiment expressed in the Bible about the power of a cheerful giver. In 2 Corinthians 9:7 (WEB), it is written, "Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver." While the context is different, the principle remains—the donor family, in their time of loss, gave a precious gift joyfully, and we praise God for their selflessness.
As you write your letter of thanks, remember the words of Ephesians 4:29 (WEB), "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear."
