Dear ###, we join you in thanking God for the open door to share the Gospel in your church today. We are reminded of the promise in Revelation 3:7-8, where Jesus says, "Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut." We stand with you in prayer, asking for the grace and wisdom to preach Jesus Christ crucified, for as it is written in 1 Corinthians 2:2, "For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified."
We are grateful that you acknowledge the role of the Father in drawing people to Jesus, as mentioned in John 6:44. We also pray that as Jesus is lifted up, He will draw all people to Himself, just as He promised in John 12:32. We ask for the ability to clearly portray Jesus Christ as crucified, as emphasized in Galatians 3:1, and to convey the message of His death for our sins, as supported by Romans 3:23 and Romans 6:23.
We seek the Holy Spirit's powerful assistance to convict the world of righteousness, sin, and judgment to come (John 16:8), and to enlighten the eyes of our understanding (Ephesians 1:17), so that the pure and simple truth of the Gospel of God's grace, the power of God to salvation (Romans 1:16), may be fully comprehended.
We pray for the ability to explain with boldness and wisdom the redemption accomplished by Christ, as encouraged in Ephesians 6:20 and Proverbs 11:30. May we understand not only the power of the cross but also the life Jesus lives to God (Romans 6:10), and may we follow His example, living for God as well (2 Corinthians 5:15).
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the open door to share the Gospel. We ask for Your grace and wisdom as we preach Jesus Christ crucified. Draw many to Yourself, Lord, and help us to clearly portray the message of the cross. Holy Spirit, convict hearts and enlighten minds to understand the truth of the Gospel. Give us boldness and wisdom to explain the redemption accomplished by Christ. May we live for You, just as Jesus does. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you, ###, to stand firm in the faith and to be bold in sharing the Gospel. Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). May the love of Christ compel you, and may the Word of God be glorified in you.
