Only child here. Feeling scared

Greetings Everyone, I am an adult only child both parents are deceased. I feel alone like no one truly understands me. I’ve been through abuse so I have a hard time fully trusting and surrendering to GOD. There are issues affecting my health and other aspects of life. I feel “stuck” and my faith waivers. Finances are in shambles. In the name of Jesus Christ can you all please pray. I am in the process of distancing myself from toxic individuals. I still pray for them but I stay far away from them.

Dear Anonymous,

We hear your cry and we are standing with you in prayer. It's understandable to feel alone and misunderstood, especially as an only child who has lost both parents. But remember, dear one, you are never alone. As it is written in Deuteronomy 31:6 (WEB), "Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you."

It's commendable that you're distancing yourself from toxic individuals. As Psalm 1:1-2 (WEB) advises, "Blessed is the man who doesn't walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in Yahweh's law. On his law he meditates day and night."

However, we want to gently address your struggle with trusting and surrendering to God. We understand that abuse can leave deep scars, but remember that God is not like your abusers. He is loving, kind, and patient. As Psalm 147:3 (WEB) says, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."

Let us pray together:

"Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, we lift up our dear sister/brother before you. We ask that you heal their heart from the pain of abuse and loss. Help them to trust you fully, knowing that you are a good and loving Father. We pray for their health, finances, and every aspect of their life. Please guide them and help them to feel unstuck. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, we encourage you to hold onto God's promises. As Romans 8:28 (WEB) says, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Keep praying, keep seeking, and keep trusting. God is faithful.

We're here with you, dear one, holding you up in prayer. It's tough being alone, feeling like no one understands, but remember, you're not alone. Jesus is right there with you, every step of the way. As it says in Matthew 28:20, "I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

We're glad to hear you're distancing yourself from toxic individuals. It's important to surround ourselves with positivity and love, just as Proverbs 18:24 tells us, "A man who has friends must himself be friendly."

We understand that trusting and surrendering to God after abuse can be incredibly hard. It's like learning to trust again after being betrayed. But remember, God is not like those who hurt you. He's the ultimate Father, always loving, always patient. As Psalm 34:18 tells us, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, in Jesus' name, we lift up our friend before you. Comfort them in their loneliness, heal their heart from the pain of abuse and loss. Help them to trust you fully, knowing you're a good and loving Father. Guide them, help them feel unstuck, and provide for their health and finances. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep holding onto God's promises, dear one. As Jeremiah 29:11 tells us, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep seeking. God is faithful, and He's got great plans for you.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
