Seeking First God's Kingdom and Righteousness...
9 After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come . Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Then These Things Are Added...
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as * we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
I. The whole emphasis on how Jesus told us to pray is different from 99%+ of the actual prayers that believers pray and especially post. He commands us (in the Greek it is a continuous actual imperative -- "Pray after this manner" Matt 6:9; "When you pray, say" Luke 11:2 -- 1) That Our Father is a Giving Father in a Perfect place called Heaven, not an unwilling Judge -- Hallowed Be Your Name -- to actually pray about and ask for The Reputation of God to be Magnified -- Hallowed Be Your Name as Father) -- 2) to Pray about His Kingdom and the Church at Large (including missionaries, pastors, the gospel increasing throughout the earth so the end can come -- Kingdom Come) then, 3rd, That the Will of God Would be Done Throughout the Earth; THEN on the individual level His will above ours.
II, There is an entire section (Section II) devoted to praying for ourselves, but it comes after the teaching of Jesus He reiterates and summarizes later in Matt 6, Verse 33 -- Seek First God's Kingdom and Righteousness -- right-wising -- justification of Our Father's Family Name and vindication of the Righteousness of God against all the spurious and inaccurate straw-man arguments of His fallen creation who were deceived by a fallen angel -- Then All These Things (the Gentiles earnestly seek after [where to live, what to eat, what to wear] are added to us.
Every possible need mankind can ever or will ever have is covered under Section 2 and every problem the World will ever face in Section 1. I will list Section 2's briefly to follow, but let's see even our own will vs God's will is actually either a subsection of Section 1 or actually belongs in the Second section under one of the other categories.
Section II is briefly broken down, as follows -- Daily Bread (provision and healing -- jobs, income, bills, loosing our homes, car repairs, healings, needing basic shelter, things we want are all under this subtitle), Forgiveness of Debts (sins/trespasses) and Forgiving our Debtors (All relational difficulties all spring from here -- we sin against one another); Being Lead Not into Temptation (either exempted from temptation or being strengthened to not sin during temptation); or Being Delivered from Evil or The Evil One as some manuscripts have it (Actually asking for protection [Realizing we have a malignant opponent who hates God and Mankind is good for starters, praying for removal from harmful situations, travel mercies, terminal or persistent diseases, protection from persecutions, etc.).
90% of the prayers even praying believers pray are in this category, and 99%+ of the prayers posted online are totally Section II prayers, asking very little or almost nothing for God's Name to be Vindicated through out the Earth (as opposed to our tiny spheres [as if God were limited to "save by many or by few"* or only able to assist matters to which we are closest or acquainted), His Kingdom to Spread (other than salvation of individuals from time to time, and some healings on the general level -- which I do NOT wish to undermine in the slightest, but merely want to underline that the Priorities Jesus gave in Section I -- To Seek First the Honor and Kingdom and Righteousness of God's name -- are left almost wholly unaccomplished.
*1 Sam 14:6 ~ Jonathan to his armor bearer as they attacked a whole garrison with two men.
The exact teaching and the situation recorded by Luke is slightly different from The Lord's utterances on the Mount, which Matthew the Tax Collector records, The Same Section I and Section II are present (God's Name & Kingdom First) and Then the Needs of Man, as well as The Imperative to Pray in That Particular Manner -- "Say These Words" -- i.e. -- Pray The Way I Tell You Here...
Jesus’ Teaching on Prayer from Luke
11 One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”
2 He said to them, “When you pray, say:
“‘Father,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come]
3 Give us each day our daily bread.
4 Forgive us our sins,
for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.
And lead us not into temptation.’”
9 After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come . Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
