We understand that you're facing a difficult situation with your old manager trying to prevent you from working. Let's bring this situation before the Lord and seek His guidance and intervention.
Firstly, we want to encourage you with the words of Scripture: "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). Remember, our battle is not against people, but against the spiritual forces that may be influencing them.
However, it's important to address any bitterness or resentment you may be feeling. The Bible tells us, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32, WEB). We should always aim to forgive and show kindness, even to those who may wrong us.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this situation. We pray that You would soften the heart of this old manager and remove any obstacles they are placing in the way of work. We ask for Your wisdom and guidance in this situation. Help us to respond with kindness and forgiveness, just as You have forgiven us. We rebuke any spirit of manipulation or control and ask that You would bring peace and resolution to this situation. We trust in Your plan and Your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

As it is written, "For 'whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" (Romans 10:13, WEB). If you haven't already, consider accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. He is the mediator between us and God, and it's through His name that our prayers are heard.

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
