In your situation, it's important to remember that God has commanded us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44 WEB). This doesn't mean we should allow harm to come to us, but rather, we should trust God to handle the situation and protect us.

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking Your protection for our dear brother/sister. We ask that You surround them with Your favor as with a shield. We pray that any attempt by their former manager to cause harm or destruction will be futile. We claim Your promise that 'No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn' (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). Please give them the strength to forgive and the wisdom to navigate this situation. We ask all these things in the precious name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen."
