We join with you, Barbara, in praying for an end to the flooding. We stand in agreement with you, in Jesus' name, and we ask God to intervene.
Let's pray:
Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, asking for Your divine intervention. We pray for the flooding to cease and for Your protection over the people and their properties. We ask for Your comfort and provision for those who have been affected.
"For you, Yahweh, have not cast off your people, neither have you forsaken your inheritance. For we are killed all the day long, and are treated as sheep for the slaughter. Wake up! Why do you sleep, Lord? Arise! Do not cast us off forever. Why do you hide your face, and forget our affliction and our oppression? For our soul is bowed down to the dust. Our body cleaves to the earth. Rise up to help us. Redeem us for your loving kindness' sake". (Psalms 44:23-26 WEB)
As your children together in Christ, we stand upon Your Word, "If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14 WEB)
In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of chaos and destruction, and we ask for God's peace and restoration to prevail. We pray for the safety of the residents and the wisdom for the local authorities as they manage this crisis. We ask for God's will to be done in this situation and believe it will be by faith in Jesus.
Now, Barbara, we encourage you to continue praying and trusting God. He is faithful, and He hears our prayers. Remember, "The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much." (James 5:16 WEB)
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
