Beloved of All
Oh God, You have been so gracious as to teach me that I am all three: single, married to God, and married to a man. By single I mean that what I learned from the gospels is that we must put You first, and second of all neighbor. By married to God I mean not only in the sense that we all ought to be married to God, and all Heaven-bound good people are, but also to be a person of vocation. Also I will be married to a man, and I believe this to be the truth, because even if we have faith the size of a mustard seed, we can tell a mountain to go toss itself into the sea. For a mustard seed, a tiny mustard seed, grows into a huge, monstrous tree. The literal requests I have laid out before You are to become a nun, to be married to P.A.D., and to help my single friends. May it go according to Your will, oh God. And I pray also for the requests of others to be answered in a way that pleases them. Oh God, come to comfort and aid us. Through Christ Jesus our Savior, Amen. And one more prayer, about relationships. May You mend broken relationships, broken hearts, and wounded souls. Amen.
