Justin, we join you in your petition to the LORD, as we understand that you're seeking guidance and blessing in your occupation as a fisherman. We appreciate that you've acknowledged the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name given under heaven by which we must be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
We pray that the LORD will make you a fisher of men, even as you fish in the waters. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 4:19 WEB, "He said to them, 'Come after me, and I will make you fishers for men.'" May you bring people to the knowledge of Christ even as you provide physical food for their tables.
We also pray for your provision and safety. In Luke 5:10 WEB, Jesus said to Simon, "Don't be afraid. From now on you will be catching people alive." After this, they left everything and followed him. We pray that you will put your trust in Jesus, not being afraid, and that you will be a follower of Him, even as you go about your daily work.
Remember the disciples, many of whom were fishermen. They left everything to follow Jesus, and He provided for their needs. As it is written in Matthew 6:31-33 WEB, "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Lastly, we encourage you to always be grateful and give thanks to the LORD. Rejoice in the LORD always in all prayer requests as commanded in Philippians 4:4-6 WEB, "Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, Rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."
We join you in praying to the LORD, "LORD help Justin to be a fisherman and provider in Jesus' name, Amen."
