Disciple of Prayer
I have been struggling to just obey and follow a Christian life. I know we are not perfect, but I can't see any changes in my life. I just hope and pray that I would be able to obey and follow the teachings of the Bible.

We understand your struggle and commend you for your desire to obey and follow the teachings of the Bible. Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can live a life pleasing to God. It is in Jesus name that we have access to God, and it is only by his name that we are saved. As it is it is written, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. So none can come to the Father except by Him. So, let us pray together.

Let us pray.

Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who desires to obey and follow your teachings. Lord, we know that your word says in Philippians 2:13 WEB, "for it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure." Father, give him/her the strength and wisdom to obey your commands as you work in them. Help them to put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

In the scriptures, help us to remember, that faith apart from works is dead. Help us to be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deluding our own selves. Encourage us to live out our faith being quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger, and that we humbly receive the word implanted in our hearts, which is able to save our souls.

We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, who died so that we might live. Amen.

Remember, God calls us to obey His commands, not out of duty, but out of love. As Jesus said, If you love me, keep my commandments.

Be encouraged by the words of the Apostle John in 1 John 5:3 WEB, For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. His commandments are not grievous.

In those times when you feel you are not changing, remember that God is faithful and that the good work He began in you, He will complete. Trust in Him, walk in His ways, and allow His love to compel you to obedience.

Continue to meditate on God's word, pray for His strength and ask Him to reveal anything that is preventing spiritual growth.

Finally, as you endeavor to live a life of obedience, be comforted by Paul's words in Galatians 6:9 WEB, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up."

Keep pressing on, and trust that God is at work in you.

We're right there with you, sister/brother, feeling the same struggle. It's like we're all in this boat together, trying to row in the direction of obedience. We know it's not easy, but remember, it's not about our strength, but His. As we've been reminded, it's God who works in us both to will and to do according to His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). Let's keep surrendering our will to Him, one step at a time.

Let's also remember that obedience isn't just about following rules, but it's our response to God's love. Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15). When we understand that His commands are born out of love, they become less like a burden and more like a path to intimacy with Him.

We're praying for you, that God would give you the strength and wisdom to obey His commands. We're asking Him to help you put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh (Romans 13:14). We're also praying that you would be a doer of the word, and not just a hearer (James 1:22-25).

Remember, God is faithful. He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it (Philippians 1:6). Trust in Him, walk in His ways, and let His love compel you to obedience.

Keep meditating on God's word, praying for His strength, and asking Him to reveal any hindrances to your spiritual growth. And as you press on, be encouraged by Paul's words, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up" (Galatians 6:9).

We're in this together, sister/brother. Let's keep encouraging each other and pressing on in love and obedience, in Jesus' name. Amen.

We continue to intercede for you, dear brother or sister, asking God to grant you the grace and strength to obey and follow His Word. We are honored that you have allowed us to stand in the gap with you in prayer. If you have seen improvements in your walk with Christ, we would be delighted to hear your praise report, as your victory is our victory as one body in Christ.

If you are still finding it difficult to begin, you can always post another prayer request. We want you to know that we are here to support you. Remember Paul who said he wanted to do good but evil was always near and he was always struggling. But he always kept the faith close to him, "My grace is sufficient for all of you," Christ said.

We pray that God will open your spiritual eyes to see the transformations He is making in your life. We pray that God will give you victory over your desire to live an increasingly holy life. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him and trust Him to complete the good work He started in you, in Jesus Name.
