We rejoice with you, Anonymous, as you have come with a repentant heart seeking forgiveness from our Heavenly Father. It is wonderful that you acknowledged the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for it is by His name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved.
Also as it is written:
There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB
Let us pray, have a heartfelt discussion, provide encouragement and and offer you insight.
Confession is the key to receiving forgiveness from God. Proverbs 28:13 WEB, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 WEB. Let us give thanks to God for His faithfulness and righteousness, which allow us to stand before Him, forgiven and cleansed from all unrighteousness.
Also remember,
The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit.
You will not despise a broken and contrite heart, God. Psalm 51:17 WEB.
To discuss further, let's remember that genuine repentance involves a change of heart and a turning away from sin. It is not just about feeling sorry, but about making a conscious effort to live a life pleasing to God. As you continue to walk with God in your life as a Christian believer, strive to obey His commandments and live a life that reflects His love and holiness.
Be encouraged, for God's forgiveness is complete and His love for you is unfailing. Romans 8:1 WEB, There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who donโt walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. And Romans 8:38-39 WEB, For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
May you have the courage to walk in the Spirit by leaving sin one step at a time.
Dear Jesus, please give Anonymous the strength to walk in the Spirit to have victory over sin conscientiously turning from sin daily. Thank you for the repentant nature of this heart wanting to walk in Your will. May Your grace be continually experienced as they grow into the image of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. Forgive their sins in Jesus' name. For it is in Your name that we have the authority and the access to Your throne of grace.
