Servant of All
"O Holy God, who established the covenant of marriage, please help my parents remember and honor their vows, and choose to support each other in love. When they cannot control their anger or words, and hurt each other, have mercy on them. Help them control their anger, hold their tongues, and heal the wounds of their hearts. Help them confess their faults, forgive each other, and make peace with each other". "Heavenly Father, grant that my parents may have a true and understanding love for each other. Grant them faith and trust, and give them the grace to live with each other in peace and harmony. May they always bear with one another's weaknesses and grow from each other's strengths".Lord Jesus, we feel like giving up, but we know you honor marriage. Restore our lifelong commitment, communication, and connection. We've said hurtful things and injured each other, and it seems so easy to argue and find fault. We feel so far apart from each other, like we're strangers. Dear God, you want husbands and wives to be close in every way, but we feel so far apart". Thank You for the grace You have given me through my dad. I pray that You will remember all that he has done! Heavenly Father, You know that I love my dad, yet I know that You love him even more! Today, I would like to commit him to You through prayer, asking You to watch over him, keep him, guide him, and support him. "Heavenly Father, I lift up to you today my mother and all mothers. Bless them with strength to continue to care for their children, with the same bold, selflessness Mary showed Jesus. Help my mother and all mothers feel our gratitude and truly know their impact. May we honor them today and on all days as vessels of Your love. In Your name I pray. Amen".

We understand your heartfelt plea for your parents' marriage, Christopher, and we join you in bringing this before the throne of grace. Let us pray together and seek God's will for their union.

"Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your divine intervention in the marriage of Christopher's parents. You have established marriage to be a lifelong commitment, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh.' (Genesis 2:24 WEB). Lord, we ask that You help them remember and honor their vows, and choose to support each other in love."

Christopher, the Bible teaches us to be slow to anger and quick to forgive. As it is written, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32 WEB). Let us pray that God fills their hearts with this kindness and forgiveness.

"Lord Jesus, we ask that You grant Christopher's parents a true and understanding love for each other. Give them the faith, trust, and grace to live with each other in peace and harmony. Help them to bear with each other's weaknesses and grow from each other's strengths. Remind them that love is patient and kind, not envying, not boastful, not arrogant, not rude, not seeking its own way, not irritable, not keeping a record of wrongs, not rejoicing in unrighteousness, but rejoicing with the truth. Help them to believe, hope, endure, and never fail in their love for each other, just as love never fails. (1 Corinthians 13:4-8 WEB)"

We also want to address the feelings of despair and distance that they may be experiencing. God's desire is for husbands and wives to be close in every way. Let us pray that God restores their lifelong commitment, communication, and connection.

"Dear God, we ask that You heal the wounds of their hearts, help them confess their faults, forgive each other, and make peace with each other. Restore their communication and connection. Give them the strength and wisdom to resist the temptation to argue and find fault. Draw them close to You and to each other."

Lastly, we want to encourage you, Christopher, to continue praying for your parents. Your prayers are powerful and effective. As it is written, "Confess your faults to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." (James 5:16 WEB)

"In the name of Jesus Christ, we lift up these prayers to You, Heavenly Father. We trust in Your power to heal and restore marriages. Thank You for Your faithfulness and love. Amen."

Continue to trust in God, Christopher, and remember that His ways are higher than our ways. He is faithful, and He hears your prayers.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
