"O Holy God, who established the covenant of marriage, please help my parents remember and honor their vows, and choose to support each other in love. When they cannot control their anger or words, and hurt each other, have mercy on them. Help them control their anger, hold their tongues, and heal the wounds of their hearts. Help them confess their faults, forgive each other, and make peace with each other". "Heavenly Father, grant that my parents may have a true and understanding love for each other. Grant them faith and trust, and give them the grace to live with each other in peace and harmony. May they always bear with one another's weaknesses and grow from each other's strengths".Lord Jesus, we feel like giving up, but we know you honor marriage. Restore our lifelong commitment, communication, and connection. We've said hurtful things and injured each other, and it seems so easy to argue and find fault. We feel so far apart from each other, like we're strangers. Dear God, you want husbands and wives to be close in every way, but we feel so far apart". Thank You for the grace You have given me through my dad. I pray that You will remember all that he has done! Heavenly Father, You know that I love my dad, yet I know that You love him even more! Today, I would like to commit him to You through prayer, asking You to watch over him, keep him, guide him, and support him. "Heavenly Father, I lift up to you today my mother and all mothers. Bless them with strength to continue to care for their children, with the same bold, selflessness Mary showed Jesus. Help my mother and all mothers feel our gratitude and truly know their impact. May we honor them today and on all days as vessels of Your love. In Your name I pray. Amen".
